If this hat doesn't look familiar to you, well, clearly you have not been paying attention over the past 4-5 winters. Everywhere I look and have been I see this hat. In all colors of the rainbow, on both coasts, and all four corners of this country, this hat makes an appearance. Sometimes in a finer knit, sometimes with a pom-pom, and sometimes with a hole in the top for a ponytail or bun.
This is my version knit in a super bulky weight wool blend to keep your head and ears toasty warm on frigid days. Knit in the round with knit and purl stitches, this is a great beginner knitting project. Knits up in about 1-2 hours.
