born by a volcano
below a full moon
shining bright

radiance and beauty engulfed the valley

love, truth, and protection returned
every ripple, every curve, the reflection of all that is pure and beautiful

hateful hearts terrified by truth
reflected quicksand foundations
of lies and false traditions
embodying wild loving-kindness to scrub and flood ignorant bigoted hatred,
severed the hands of adoption and bulletproofed against destruction
at times unable to protect against
the cruelty of fear
anger
and
desire
I have been your guardian angel, your earth mother, your spirit guide,
your safe space, your prison cell, your love, your hate,
your bank account, your loan shark, your friend, your enemy,
your teacher, your student
and just plain yours,
